Life is returning to normal.....(post kitchen reno)

Millie has been working overtime to finish up a quilt that had been loaded on the long arm just prior to DH saying I could do the kitchen renovations.  I dropped everything to line things up with contractors and get all the cupboards painted by myself before he changed his mind.

Anyways, life has returned to normal around here and  the quilt that has been languishing on the long arm is now complete

It's a huge one....96 x 116" if I remember correctly.

It's all scrappy.  My customer said she  saw this on Pinterest and drafted the design herself from that picture.  I think it's a great way to use up some scraps.

The Chantilly pantograph was used to quilt this one using white So Fine thread top and bottom.

Here's a picture using the side light to emphasize the stitching.  Nothing like a lot of curves to off set the straight lines of the blocks.

Here's a close-up of the quilt as I was taking it off the long arm.

Also, here's a close up of the plain white backing.

This could be a reversible quilt.  The white thread on the white fabric makes it look like a whole cloth.

It will be on its way home to California  in a day or two once I find a box big enough to hold it.

I am so thankful that there wasn't a "rush" on this quilt and that my customer was very patient with me.  There was enough stress going on in this house with being all tore up than to have to worry about getting customer quilts out on time, too.

It feels so good to be back doing what I love; AND I have a beautiful kitchen to cook in when I have the time.  :D
