Just doodling....

I am going to put myself out there for ridicule, but remember, this is my first attempt AND it is all one-handed as my arm is still broken and still in a splint, but I just had to play.

I haven't monkeyed with the tension yet and I am sure I didn't 100% put my fabric onto my new Millenium correctly, but I just had to play (I already said that though, didn't I?).

My butterfly.

My contemporary blocks

My crisscross

Scribble holly.

Best of the worse Large Popcorn panto.

Leaves and cherries (scribble)

More leaves and cherries.

Meander (I think this is pretty easy).

Water

Twirly "e's"

My attempt at pebbles. LOL

Even dear husband gave it a whirl.

I am NOT going to show you my feathers though.

Oh well......practice, practice, practice.

  7. Longarming will be a piece of cake for you judging from your one-handed practice scribbles! You go, girl!!

  8. As a complete beginner, and never having tried Longarming, your attempts look quite acceptable to me already, and as they say, practice makes perfect. Loving that quilt in your header picture - I could eat it! xCathy

  9. Thank you Cathy for the compliments. I am replying here since you are a "no reply" comment. Practice, hopefully, will make perfect and that is what I am striving for.

The quilt in my header is a Gwen Marston liberated baskets. They are so easy to make and very freeing as there is not true pattern.

well, stay tuned. I will be posting more pictures of my progress on the longarm. Sure hope the next pictures show improvement. LOL....I hope.

  11. Faye, what a fantastic first attempt! Even one handed! Can't wait to see what you do with both hands! I am still trying to get decent feathers....a bit of a learning curve!

    Your examples look wonderful!
