The borders were pieced
Then they were all attached and looked so great.....
and then I noticed that something wasn't quite right.....
so now I realize that I have five sections that need to be changed on one side only. How'd that happen? ...and would I be lucky enough to just be able to flip the sections?.....No!
So now I am thinking, do I rip out the whole border or just piece by piece?....
I did piece by piece.
All this and after I was so picky about getting all my toile pieces to lay in the upright position and took pains to get all my points to match and all my seam lines to align.
Oh well.......it's done.
love your quilt. Its spectacular. what patternis it. don't feel bad about the goof! We have all been there and done that.

Fantastic. Glad you made it thru!
ReplyDeleteYour patience has paid off. It looks great.
ReplyDeleteIt's done and it's beautiful. You should feel so good to get this one off your "to do" list. Now on to the next one. Just a thought....you mentioned that you prefer the black & tan look better than the black & cream look. Why not tea dye this one. I haven't seen anyone tea dye their quilts in a few years and I always liked the end result. Just a thought.
ReplyDeleteYou are amazing, You know that, right?
